CollaSorb Sterile Collagen Wound Dressing

* Composed of 90% pure collagen, 10% calcium alginate * Contains sterile, non-cytotoxic bovine-derived collagen * Capable of absorbing up to 30 times its weight * Rapidly absorbs exudate * Easy-to-cut and apply * Collagen improves binding of matrix metalloproteases (MMP's) * Creates and maintains a moist wound environment * Promotes optimal healing and extracellular matrix formation * Less frequent dressing changes * Remains in direct contact with wound bed when totally saturated * Ideal for managing acute and chronic wounds with light to heavy drainage * For heavily draining wounds, a foam such as PermaFoam® Comfort may be used as a secondary dressing * For moderately draining wounds, cover with an appropriate secondary dressing such as FlexiCol® hydrocolloid dressing or a Cosmopore® adhesive dressing * For minimal exudate, cover with a nonwoven retention tape such as Omnifix®
